I was born in Green Bay – my parents went to all the games back in those days…. Coach bought all the player’s wives mink coats !

Vince Lombardi will always be in the class of one; all other football coaches may be rated from two on down. Apparently, poor vision kept him out of military service although this is hard to confirm. Still, he was the GOAT in his profession and there are few of those around.

Robert de niro is portraying Lombardi in a new movie!

With this words, i can image all that he must have said to his players in the lockers!. Man! Players probably had a bad day!

I just said that a few seconds ago.

I totally agree. If Lombardi was coach, Brown would not have had to carry the load and he would have used Harraway more in the running & passing game. Also, Lombardi would have better used All Pro tight end Jerry Smith. No disrepect to Allen, a great defensive mind, but one has to wonder what more seasons under Lombardi would have meant to the Washington Redskins. Even the uniforms were better under Lombardi and Allen than they are today.

i swear ive said this phrase with his tone ever since i heard his say this line. I love it. Its like hes truly asking the question waiting for an answer

LOL he turned the Redskins around we sucked in the 50′s and 60′s and he gave us a winning record in 69(his only season in DC before he died). If Lombardi didn’t die of cancer in 70 and stayed the coach I bet we win Super Bowl IIV because Lombardi would have started Sonny Jurgensen instead of Billy Kilmer who was a ok QB but did what Geroge Allen wanted which was hand the ball off all the time

  22. skins2617 says:

as a Redskins fan this is what I said watching the game against the Lions today
